Kirstina Tea Cozy (Kirstina Tea Cap) is a tea cap perfect for keeping your tea warm. The cap is knitted in a Nordic-inspired pattern on the outside and stripes on the inside. The cap can also be knitted with stripes or just one color if you want a simpler style. If you knit without a pattern, the tea cap will not keep you warm as well as when knitted in a pattern. The tea cap in the picture is size 1 knitted in Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive in the colors Ballerina (base color) and Pea Shoot (contrast color).

Knitting tension (after washing and block): 20 stitches x 23 rows pattern knit on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm Note: If you knit looser/tighter pattern stitches than stockinette stitches, you need to adjust the needle size accordingly.

Recommended needles: Circular needle 5 mm (40-60 cm) and 4.5 mm circular needles (40-60 cm)

Yarn suggestion: 200 (200) 220 g Heavy Merino from Knitting for Olive (50 g = 125 m)

or 200 (200) 220 g Trio from Filcolana (50 g = 120 m)

Color distribution: 100 (100) 100 g for base color and 100 (100) 120 g for pattern color
