Margrethe Sweater

Margrethe Sweater is a sweater with a daisy pattern border on the yoke. The sweater is knitted in the round, top down, with raglan increases and German turns both on the yoke and at the bottom of the body, which makes the neck of the sweater higher and the sweater slightly longer on the back. The sweater has a loose fit. The sleeves are knitted in the round on either double pointed needles or circular needles with the Magic Loop technique (I personally recommend the latter technique). The sweater in the picture is knitted in size M in Trio from Navia in the base color, white (31) and pattern color, dark brown (36). The body and neck can be adjusted as needed and knitted longer/shorter.

Margrethe Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 12-16 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Size XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL corresponds to a chest measurement of approx. 70-76 (76-82) 82-88 (88-94) 94-100 (100-106) 106-112 (112-118) 118-124 cm. This means that if your chest measurement is, for example, 90 cm, you should knit size M, where the width of the sweater is 106 cm. Remember that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is observed. If you want a tighter-fitting sweater, I would recommend going one size down in relation to your chest measurement.

Note : If you knit looser/tighter pattern stitches than stockinette stitches, you must go down/up the row accordingly.

Recommended needles : Circular needle 4 mm (40 cm), 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm (40 cm, 80 cm with magic loop technique)
