Knitting density (after washing and block): 34 stitches x 33 rows in pattern knitting on needles 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm

Guide needles: Circular needle 3 mm (min. 60 cm if using the magic loop technique) and circular needle 2.5 mm (min. 60 cm) or double pointed needles 3 mm

Additional materials: Strong hair elastic approx. 1 cm wide (see example on p. 5)

Siri Scrunchie (Siri Hårelastik) is a hair elastic made with the same floral pattern as Siri Mittens - Winter Edition, and both recipes are inspired by a traditional Faroese pattern. The hair elastic keeps the hair well in place, as it has an elastic inside. The closure can be challenging if you choose to make a knitted closure around an elastic, which gives a beautiful result.
